About ISO 27001
ISO/IEC 27001 sets requirements for an information security management system. Customers in IT, finance and outsourcing often require it from suppliers.
The current edition is ISO/IEC 27001:2022; certificates to the 2013 edition had to be transitioned by 31 October 2025.
A certificate is valid for three years. Surveillance audits take place in the first and second year; before the certificate expires the company goes through a recertification audit.
